I was born and raised on a small island in North Florida. I’ve spent most of my life on the beach swimming, surfing, and enjoying time with friends and family. After high school, I attended a small liberal arts college to become a graphic designer, but somewhere along the way...

I got lost.

I put a lot of energy and effort into boxing up my feelings. I would put on a mask for the rest of the world and laugh through the pain. My relationships became tangled, disjointed, and disconnected. I felt broken. I found my way into this field through my own journey of healing with people I trusted. I found that healing happens best when you engage the mind AND the body: untangling, and integrating all the mismatched and messy parts of myself into a whole person. In time I realized I wasn't broken.

I was growing.

Growth can be painful. It often means loss: loss of relationships, loss of direction, loss of ourselves. But growth is always worth it. As we make our way through life, we all pick up strategies for managing ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Sometimes, those strategies that helped us survive become less helpful over time.

Sometimes, we need to learn new ways of being in relationship with ourselves, other people, and the world around us.

Today, I make space for all the ups and downs, successes and failures life hands out. It's my job to help others to do the same. As a therapist, I work with you to quantify what's working for you and what's getting in the way. We set clear and measurable goals together and work towards taking care of you, as a whole person. Together, we move toward a valued life worth living and a sense of being truly alive.

Who Am I?

Connector, Explorer, Healer, Collaborator

My Values

Connection

I believe we are all inextricably linked. Healing takes place in the context of a warm and empathetic relationship. We all have an innate desire to see and be seen, to hear and be heard. We are collective, symbiotic beings.

Exploration

We all learn ways of navigating the world. Over time, these strategies become inflexible and unhelpful. I believe in the power of disruptive curiosity: questioning our assumptions, rediscovering a sense of wonder, and whole-heartedly adventuring into a new relationship with ourselves.

Healing

We've all felt broken, defeated, and alone. These states are not permanent, nor do they define us. Healing begins when we are truly seen and deeply understood. Healing utilizes all parts of ourselves: mind, body, spirit

Collaboration

I believe in the utility of working together. I'll bring the road map, but you're always in the driver's seat. It is my job to find the bridge that leads you from the places and people you have been towards the place and person you want to become.

Growth

I believe that life is growth and that development never ends. Growth can be hard, even painful. Growth means loss, but it also means innovation. A restoration of our sense of self, a discovery of new parts of ourselves, and a renewed sense of wholeness.

My Purpose

I’m passionate about helping adults and adolescents heal from the pain of their past and grow into lives that bring them joy and fulfillment. You may be dealing with chronic pain, depression, trauma, or just feel lost or stuck, and that’s okay.

Healing is not always easy, but you don’t have to do it alone

Psychotherapy is a collaborative experiment. I meet my clients where they are at and together, we find a solution that fits for you. Feedback informed treatment is always the number one treatment priority. It's important to get your input on how our work is going. If we're not seeing the results we hoped for, we change course. I believe in whole-body, whole-person care and that counseling is just one piece of the path towards wellness. I strive to create a safe place for us to collaborate on the goals that are most important to you.
